Committees and Special Interest Groups
What is a Committee?
A committee is a group of CSRT members that have been appointed by the CSRT Board of Directors to address an issue that the CSRT Board of Directors has identified. The purpose of each committee is laid out in a “Terms of Reference” document. This document will give the purpose of the committee and will also give some direction as to how the committee should function.

The CSRT is always looking for volunteers to sit on a variety of committees. If you have an interest in a special area and would like to participate or make a suggestion, please contact CSRT head office. If you are unsure of what areas you would like to volunteer in, please contact the CSRT Head Office. We can help you identify which areas would be most suited to your skills and interests.
What is a Special Interest Group?
A Special Interest Group refers to a group of CSRT members that have a common interest in a particular segment of the profession of respiratory therapy. The CSRT supports these groups by giving them a section of the website where they can post articles of interest, and other content. These groups are also given an opportunity to use an online discussion forum, provide input into acquiring speakers and topics for the annual forum, as well as space for publishing articles in the CJRT.
