American Medical Association (AMA) Pain Management

The American Medical Association has an excellent lecture and discussion related to pain management. The AMA's online CME programs provide clinical perspective on managing osteoporosis and pain management. Additional online CME activities include Gift to Physician from Industry, JAMA and Archives journals as well as online Fellowship in Physician Ethics and Professionalism.

BMJ Learning is a learning website for medical professionals. It offers a wide range of learning resources, commissioned by the BMJ Group. The learning resources deal with everyday issues in primary care and hospital medicine. They are evidence based and peer reviewed.

Centre for Clinical Excellence

Nellcor offers free, accredited online educational courses for registered nurses and respiratory therapists through their Center for Clinical Excellence website. Choose from a variety of self-paced courses that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Courses offer convenient post-testing and the ability to print your certificate upon completion. Certificates may be used to meet or accumulate contact hour requirements for re-licensure. The educational programs focus on cardiopulmonary physiology and disease, ventilator management strategies and relevant technology.

Introduction to Health Emergency Management
This complimentary course will give health care personnel who may be expected to take an active role during an emergency or disaster, a better understanding of where they fit into the big picture of Health Emergency Management (HEM). University of British Columbia - School of Environmental Health and Health Canada

UBC’s School of Environmental Health and Health Canada have developed a free online, on demand course titled Outdoor Air Quality and Health and the Air Quality Health Index targeted to health professionals. Health Canada estimates that 6,000 premature deaths per year in Canada are caused by air pollution. As well, many common respiratory conditions are exacerbated by poor air quality.
