National Competency Profile
The 2011 National Competency Profile (NCP) is now available.
The Statements of Competence outlined in is document represent the required competencies an entry-level respiratory therapist is expected to be able to perform in the workplace. It also identifies the outcomes that must be achieved by the conclusion of the educational program. Implementation of the 2011 NCP into the Canadian approved examinations will commence for those students writing the exam in 2014. In the interim the 2003 NCP is still in effect.
