Call for Abstracts for Poster Presentations

Submission deadline for 2010 was February 12, 2010

Please read this Call for Abstracts carefully before submitting the official application form. A peer review committee will review each abstract submitted. Authors of abstracts selected for presentation will be contacted via email and invited to present a poster based on their abstract at the Conference.

Abstract Format
Abstracts should discuss and report any area of respiratory care including clinical practice, program development, research investigation, evaluation, and respiratory healthcare delivery clinical issue; a respiratory related health care issue.

Please use the following headings in your submission: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion.

Abstracts may be rejected if they:

• Focus purely on a commercial product
• Do not show evidence of a scientific approach

Abstract Format
Abstract Submission

1. Abstracts must represent original work.
2. Please use standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parenthesis after the full word when it appears for the first time.
3. Errors, misspellings and incorrect abbreviations will not be corrected.
4. All abstracts must not exceed 300 words (excluding co-authors, organizations, abstract title and mandatory headings).
5. An individual may submit more than one abstract. One official submission form is required for each abstract.
6. You may submit in English or French.
7. You will receive confirmation of receipt of your abstract within 2 working days.

Abstracts at the Conference

1. The abstracts are for poster presentation.
2. The author will be required to stand by the poster(s) at specific times to answer questions during the conference. In the case of multiple authors, at least one author is required to stand by the poster at the specified times.
3. Posters must not exceed1.2 m high by 1.8m wide (4-feet high by 6-feet wide) but may be any dimension within these constraints.
4. Presenters of accepted abstracts will be required to register and pay as a delegate for the full conference at the early bird rate.

Copyright Permission
By submitting abstracts to the CSRT Education Conference and Trade Show, submitters authorize, upon acceptance, the permission to reproduce their abstract in the conference materials, the CJRT and on the CSRT website.

Honoraria and Expenses
All expenses relating to travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the individual. No expenses will be covered by the conference. There are no honoraria for poster presenters.

Conference Registration
All abstract presenters must register for the Conference and pay the appropriate early bird conference registration fee.
