Notice to all Ontario members: CSRT and RTSO now have joint membership – you can join your national and provincial professional association for the cost of one membership.

CSRT Student Membership

For a one-time payment of $100 students will

• be a CSRT Student Member during their education program
• receive a certificate of registry and pin upon the successful completion of the CSRT national certification examination
• receive free professional liability insurance coverage during their clinical year. To be eligible, the student must work under the direct supervision of a respiratory therapist, who is a CSRT member covered by professional liability insurance.

Did You Know? Professional liability insurance (PLI) for new graduates: PLI coverage is available for CSRT student/associate members who are eligible for restricted licenses in their province, and have started working prior to passing the national exam. PLI coverage is limited to six months. If you have successfully passed the national exam, your insurance is valid until the following renewal year. An unsuccessful attempt at the national exam will mean your insurance will expire after the initial 6-month period. You will not be eligible again for PLI until you have successfully passed the national exam.
