RT Working in Developing Countries Requires Equipment
Respiratory Therapist Eric Cheng of the Brampton Civic and Mount Sinai Hospitals is planning a return trip to Nepal this March, after traveling there two years ago. One of the many challenges he faces is procuring useful and much needed equipment. Eric intends to launch a neonatal CPAP program and hopefully bring some equipment. Particularly there is a need for 2 variable flow CPAP systems.
In an effort to bring better healthcare to the region, Eric has helped create a registered charity Bringing About Better Understanding (BABU - which means baby boy in Nepali). BABU exists to empower physicians and surgeons in Nepal through knowledge share and the procurement of quality equipment for a much needed pediatric hospital in Nepal. Through BABU, any donation will be used to service those in most need. If you can provide assistance in any way please contact Eric Cheng, http://sites.google.com/site/babucanadaproject/projects : 905.791.9715 or cell 416.844.3474. Donations can be sent to Unit 2228, 52 Panorama Crescent, Brampton, ON, Canada, L6S 3T9.
