Respiratory Therapists Without Borders

Respiratory Therapists Without Borders (RTWB) is a newly formed group of RT's seeking to make a difference!   While still in its infancy, RTWB is developing quickly as a not-for-profit group of RT's and related allied health professionals. RTWB is committed to working together to educate and assist those in other countries and remote national communities that may have limited access to critical care and chronic disease management programs. The goal is to educate health care staff in these areas to allow them to provide current and consistent care to the populations they serve.

Organizers are seeking input from the RT's of Canada. What direction and mandate do you feel would be most appropriate? As an RT or health care professional, would you be willing to undertake a placement mission? Would you be willing to be a dedicated volunteer? Currently organizers are working towards RTWB becoming a registered charity. Visit the website at www.rtwb.ca for the latest information.
