RTSO President’s Award Winner

October 2010 - Toronto, Ontario - Frank Fiorenza, RRT and Trudell Medical Marketing Limited Territory Manager, receives President’s Award from the Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario.

Frank Fiorenza was selected by the Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario (RTSO) to be a 2010 President’s Award recipient. At a banquet the evening of September 17th, RTSO President Rob Bryan, RRT, presented Frank with the award.

The President’s Award is an honour granted for demonstration of professionalism, compassion and expert knowledge above and beyond the call of duty as a Respiratory Therapist.

Frank is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, belonging to the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario, and is a member of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists. He spent eight years as a Staff Therapist for the Ottawa Hospital and University of Ottawa Heart Institute working in the ICU, CSU, CCU and ER Departments. Recently, he taught at Algonquian College in the Respiratory Therapy, Anesthesia Assistant and Nursing Programs. Frank is also actively pursuing continued education by completing a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree.

Recently, while onboard an airplane en route to Ottawa from Florida, Frank saved the life of a man suffering from cardiac arrest, by performing CPR and manually resuscitating the man using the equipment on the aircraft. The headlines read “Ottawa man saves life at 35000 feet”.

Frank has been dedicated to his passion of Respiratory Therapy as a Territory Manager for Trudell Medical Marketing Limited for over five years. His territory is a large portion of Ontario, stretching from Ottawa to Sault St. Marie. We are proud to have such a passionate and professional person as part of our team.
