Simulated Trauma and Resuscitation Team Training
This 8-hour multidisciplinary course teaches crisis resource management (CRM) training using a combination of simulation and didactic teaching. - Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) (Course Code: RS827):
Enhance your pediatric recognition and assessment skills with this specially designed American Heart Association course. Hands-on experience and video based simulation help the student to develop the skills necessary in recognizing pediatric distress; with the focus on children with potentially life threatening conditions. The goal of PEARS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (Course Code: NE800): Be introduced to the concepts and skills of neonatal resuscitation in this hands-on interactive, simulation based course to teach individuals and teams who may be required to resuscitate newborn babies.
- 12-Lead ECG Rhythm Interpretation (Course Code: EK703 or EK816):
Develop a systematic approach to identifying common arrhythmias in both cardiac rhythm strips and 12-lead ECGs. Interpretation includes normal rhythms and arrhythmias such as atrial and ventricular rhythms and heart blocks; their significance, possible causes and treatment. Self and peer analyzed assessments of individual work is conducted after each interactive topic. Participants will practice ECG interpretation from a specially designed workbook to promote individual competence.
- Cardiac Stress Testing (Course Code: EK817):
This hybrid course is a must for any health care professional wanting to sharpen their skills in cardiac stress testing. The comprehensive online course is followed by a live hands-on workshop, in your own environment with your own equipment, allowing you to master the practical aspects of the procedure.
- Pulmonary Function Testing (Course Code: RS823):
Brush up on and expand your knowledge and capability in pulmonary function testing. Health care professionals interested or involved in the performance and interpretation of pulmonary function testing can participate in this workshop right where they work.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Transport (Course Code: NE502):
Learn to anticipate, recognize, and use effective corrective actions for various neonatal clinical problems as they arise. In this course you will gain the hands-on skills necessary to stabilize the neonate for transport.
