The CSRT recognizes the growing concerns over the impacts of COVID-19 in Canada, and the recent World Health Organization (WHO) declaration of a pandemic. Over the past weeks the CSRT has been performing daily risk assessments and carefully monitoring all national and local public health agencies for updates and recommendations, including those issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
In light of the known health risks involved with large public gatherings and non-essential travel that are associated with mass gatherings, the CSRT has taken the difficult decision to cancel the CSRT Annual Conference planned for May 2020 in Montreal, QC. This decision was made based on careful evaluation of all available evidence, and is made in the best interest of the health and well-being of conference participants, CSRT members, CSRT industry partners, and the public.
The CSRT understands that this decision is disruptive and will have significant impacts on your plans. We will also be reviewing our cancellation policies and sharing additional information with you as soon as it is available.
The CSRT conference is the preeminent annual event for the RT community, and it is an important place for networking, sharing and learning. As an alternative to the in-person event the CSRT is exploring opportunities to present some of the great sessions already planned for the 2020 Conference by live stream and webinar over the next months. Further information will be made available on this website as it becomes available.
